Why you'll love this recipe
Save Money: Creamers sold in stores are expensive, and creamers marketed as dairy-free can be more expensive. You can make our own creamer for less.
Not only that, but if you have a delicious creamer option at home, you can skip the drive through and make your own coffee instead.
No Cooking Required: There's no need to put this on the stove, all of the ingredients are simply mixed together in a jar.
Better for You: Store-bought dairy-free creamers often have extra unneeded ingredients.
Emulsifiers, oils, and other things you don't necessarily want to eat are not required for delicious coffee.
There are three ingredients in this recipe that are all easy to find and natural.
Customizable: I'll give you some ideas on how you can change up the flavor, so that you have a variety to choose from.
3 ingredients needed
This homemade recipe has just three ingredients.
Almond Milk - Be sure to choose an unsweetened barista style almond milk. We'll sweeten it ourselves.
Powdered Sweetener - You can use regular powdered sugar to make this creamer. For a sugar free option, use powdered Swerve or powdered allulose.
Vanilla Extract - The better the quality of your vanilla extract, the better your creamer will taste.

Variations to try
These are just a few ideas to get you started. Using extracts, you can make any type of flavor that you can dream up.
Hazelnut - Use 2 teaspoons of hazelnut extract in place of the vanilla extract. You can do the same with almond extract.
Pumpkin Spice - Add 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree and 1 teaspoon of pumpkin spice to the mix.
Peppermint - Reduce the vanilla extract to ½ teaspoon, and add ½ teaspoon of peppermint extract.
Mocha : Add two teaspoons of cocoa powder to the almond milk, and heat gently until the cocoa powder dissolves. Then follow the recipe as written.
Adding a pinch of turmeric powder or a sprinkle of cinnamon to your coffee adds a rich, earthy, or spiced flavor that blends well with this sweet almond milk creamer.
Tumeric and cinnamon also have anti-inflammatory properties.
Add the desired amount of creamer into your cup and stir in the turmeric or cinnamon. Pour in your hot coffee and give it another stir to enhance your morning pick-me-up.
Coconut oil is loaded with MCTs or medium chain fatty acids. In addition to adding a unique flavor, mixing a small spoonful of coconut oil into your coffee can increase energy, boost metabolism and curb your appetite.
Caramel syrup is an option for authentic barista flavoring. We like this one, sugar free caramel syrup.
How to make almond milk creamer thicker?
If you use a barista style almond milk, this is not necessary, but if you'd like to make the creamer a heavier consistency, you can cook it for a bit to concentrate it.
Add the ingredients, minus the vanilla, to a saucepan, and simmer on low until it thickens. Add the vanilla after removing the creamer from the heat.
Storage instructions
For the basic recipe (with or without flavored extracts), store in an airtight container for up to 7 days in the refrigerator. If adding flavors such as cocoa powder or pumpkin puree, consume within 5 days.
Try dividing a batch into several small jars to create a variety of flavors

Rather than reducing the almond milk over heat to thickenit, has anyone tried adding coconut cream to it? Not the watery coconut milk in the cans of lower quality product, but the coagulated cream at the top of a can of quality coconut product.
Four Score Living
Hi Dean,
You can certainly use full fat coconut cream either in place of the almond milk, or in addition to it.
